Riden' the Range

On Satruday we spent the day with Jeff's dad & step mom - Richard & Danielle!

We went to Memory Grove to get pictures taken... and then went to ride their horses.

Tietjen was very excited to see the horses and as soon as he saw one up close he changed his mind on wanting to ride one. After he saw his cousins riding he than decided to give it a try.

It took some coaxing from daddy to just "SIT" on the horse. Than he decided to try riding. He had Grandpa leading the Janie, Daddy on one side and Uncle Guy on the other side. With their hands on his legs. Comfort to see that he was okay.

He than rode around the pen a few times. By the second round. Tietjen was riding with out the comfort of hands on him.

He than rode Janie a second time later. My big boy! He did such a good job!!

Anna Belle on the other hand, had no reserves of the horse. She loves animals. But.... she is not one to HOLD on to anything. (She won't even hold my hand while walking into the store). So, she only sat on Janie for a picture. Which she is looking anywhere but at me and the camera.

Jeff loved being back on a horse and enjoyed riding around the pen.

We had so much fun being with Family.

We also had Jeff's grandmother, Tietjen's Great Grandma Kidd with us. She just sat in our van and watched us all from there. Also the kids liked to climb in and out and play around with her.

Kolby is wearing the riding helmet which each of the little boys just loved to wear!!!
