Happy Birthday Anna Belle

We like to celebrate birthdays for all long as possible.... Anna Belle has been celebrating her birthday all month long.
Earlier this month, she got to go "clothes" shopping with my mom!! She was so very excited. She picked out a new Pink Dress. (picture to come)
Saturday - Grandma & Grandpa Kidd come up to visit and she got a new "Belle" Barbie Doll. (More Princess stuff)
Then Monday night my parents took both kids to McDonald's for dinner. (A tradition that just started with Tietjen's bday - they took him (just him) and then he decided that next time Annie could come too - so they took both for Annie's bday) Happy Meal toy was a Tiara!!
Then Last night my parents came over (they are going out of town today for a business trip) and brought Annie her presents!!
( Yesterday she also received cards from Aunt Brookie & Great Grandma Kidd)
Sorry Pictures are a bit blurry, I am still trying to learn to use my nice new camera!

Then TODAY.... she got her stuff from us .... lip gloss set (which is in her purse - there are like 10 of them) and some new summer clothes!!

Stay tuned for more to come... like I said... we like to celebrate birthdays for as long as we can!!

Spring has SPRUNG!!

My flowers are starting to bloom.
I got a bunch of tulips last fall from my dad, that were left overs from the Idaho Falls Temple Grounds, so I planted what I could, and passed the rest on to neighbors.
Annie & Tietjen "posed" for me!!

(my little runway model, turned her head just as I took the pic, what you can't see is that her other hand is on her hip)

Tietjen being - well him self

Our Busy Weekend

Since we FINALLY have some nice weather, Jeff spent Saturday doing yard stuff!!
He rebuilt the cover to the entrance that goes under our house, the crawl space where the water heater is. He enjoyed rebuilding it. Tietjen got to go the Home Depo with him to get the supplies a fun daddy/son outting!!

He also got our gardens ready for planting. This is just one of our 2 gardens. This spot is better for corn. Where the other spot is on the other side of our backyard. Jeff is WAY excited to plant and take care of his garden!!

One of our other plans this summer was to build a new shed with a playhouse on top. We decided to NOT build the shed and just a small playhouse. Because we really needed new couches. We were looking for some back in February but never found exactly what we wanted.
These are our new couches...
Why are we so excited you ask??? Because we only had a love seat and a single chair.
NOW we can lay down on a full length couch!! Plus our family just got to big for the love seat.
It's a bit cramped but we don't care!!

Student of the Month

Jeff was choosen as Student of the Month, for February.

He received this certificate, he got to use the "parking spot" (which ended up only being like 2 times, because of spring break) and he got $50 - which he spent on getting all of us new shoes!!

We are so proud of him. He works so very very hard at school and his studies!! He loves what he is learning and can't wait to be a graduated "Engineer"!! (only 2 more years - 4 more semesters)

I love You, Jeff!!!

General Conference Weekend

General Conference, always means two things at our house....
1st - We get to listen to the Prophet
2nd - LEGOs come out (all of them)

We have about 5 gallons worth of Legos, how do we know this... because we keep them all in a Home Depo bucket that is 5 gallons big!!! and they fill up to the top!!
Jeff had his homework all done, and enjoyed some reading... he read the next book to the Fablehaven series, in one day!! Yes, yes, I know silly boy!!
Anna Belle took the opportunity to play "hair" while he was busy reading.
EASTER... well, I wasn't feel all that good. So, it was simple. They each got a basket with a little bit of candy (not to much, so that I won't eat it all) and some playdough and new coloring books. Also, my kids don't believe in the Easter Bunny, sorry, I want them to think of the Resurection of Christ more, so they know it all comes from me. The Bunny is just a fun pretend thing.
