Tietjen's First Day of PreSchool

My Baby started Preschool TODAY!!!

Today was Tietjen's first day. He was so excited. Last night he helped daddy shine his shoes (he got them dirty yesterday) and we got his backpack already with his supplies.

This morning we had to force him to eat his breakfast... he never eats real well in the morning. He was already to go in the outfit that he picked out.

Isn't that the most ADORABLE face you have ever seen!!

Here we are at his school... it was so bright he had a hard time looking at me for the picture.

We tried to shade him with our shadows. It looks quite funny.

Tietjen goes to school from 8:20 am to 10:20 am. Today he told me that he played in the sandbox and not the outside big toys. That he got to play music with the the triangle thing. (He wanted to take it home) He said he liked it alot. I sure missed him alot. Annie & I went grocery shopping while he was in school.... WOW to have just one child again in a store.. such ease!

He is my big boy. I love him lots. And I only cried a little.

SCHOOL DAYS>> SCHOOL DAYS>>

Today is Jeff's first day of classes for this new semester. It has been SO NICE AND WONDERFUL to have him home this summer. I have enjoyed it so much. We will miss him lots while he is gone for longer time during the day. We did luck out and he has a morning class at 8 am, gets to work by 9 am then will leave at 4:30 for a 5 pm class and gets out at 7 pm. So he will be home by 7:15 but there is always LOTS OF HOMEWORK.. except on Tuesdays his chemistry lab it till 10 pm. He is taking Chemistry, Physics, and an Engenering Statics. We love you JEFF!! The Kids New BED!!

This past weekend we acquired a new BUNKbed from a family in our ward. We were very excited, we had been thinking about getting one for Christmas. Tietjen has the top (twin size) and Anna Belle has the bottom (Full Size). I painted it black from the orignal white. Tietjen did fall off the first night.. but he did that on his toddlar bed too the first time. But they sleep great.. except Anna Belle is use to moving around alot and not falling off. So I have my body pillow and one from my mom to help her have something surounding her. I plan to give Me for Christmas somekind of matching type of bed sets. I didnt think they would be to thrilled getting it themselves. Here are some pictures off the bed process.... ENJOY!

Painting the Bed!!

I learned a new lesson... cheap spraypaint for BIG prodject is just not worth the time... or pain on my finger!!

It was quite the circus getting the bed together with

two adults, two kids and a dog all wanting to help!!

Tietjen just loves to tell people that he is on the top bed... up high!!

As you can see... Tietjen is using my old mickey mouse bed stuff and Annie has just a sheet for now. I am still looking for something cute, matching.. but not exactly the same. I want it to be different boys/girls looking but cordinating!!

Jeff & Tietjen on local News

A couple weeks ago, Jeff & Tietjen were on our local news. They went to support a 83 year old basket ball player that Jeff has played with before. You have to look closely as the video to see Tietjen & Jeff. Tietjen is in a blue stripped shirt and Jeff is in his orange with white stripped shirt.

When "Beem" (our sports announcer) is first talking in the church gym, showing the crowd behind him and 'K' you can see Jeff holding up a large yellowish sign and Tietjen is to the right. Little blonde boy, blue shirt. (Right between them both) . Then at one point the camera is close to the audience and scanns across the stage and you can see Jeff holding the sign.

Anna Belle

After Anna Belle was born, I received this coupon for a free 3 pose portait sitting with 'Hymas Photography' in Rigby. We went at 3 months, 6 months, at a year old. This was the 8x10 with matting I received FOR FREE !!!! - Thanks Hymas Photography!!

We never were able to afford getting her Year pictures so this is the only one we have.... she is so cute, don't you think?

Anna Belle & Jax

Anna Belle loves our new dog Jax. They are great friends. The love to "BUG" each other. Anna Belle is always trying to touch his face and pet him; after awhile Jax gets anoyed and tries to go somewhere else, but she just follows. BUT..... in the mornings when she wakes up Jax is so excited to see her and is always getting in her face wanting attention from her. She pushes him away since she is not fully awake or just wants to get to the kitchen for breakfast (she is quite like her daddy always hungry). So, Annie & Jax best of friends.... always annoying each other.. It is quite funny!!

Pool Time

This past Saturday, we attended our Ward Picnic. Which we had swimming at the local pool and then a huge Fried Chicken Picnic. I only took some pictures of us swimming.

Anna Belle loves the water and liked playing in it, untill there were lots of people than she wanted out.
Tietjen has a harder time getting into the pool to play, until his friends from the ward arrive and then he is playing really good in the water for about an hour, than he fell and went under. He was done after that.
Tietjen didn't really like to be pickup and swung around by Jeff in the pool. He is a bit scared of the water. We had lots of fun though.

Community Fun Night at the River

Last night was "Community Night at the River" kicking off the "Youth Jam" that will be there the rest of this week then the "Duck Race" on Saturday.

(you can purchase those plastic bath rubber ducks and they each have a number, so they dump them all out at one end of the river and the first duck to go over the falls (water falls that is - the reason Idaho Falls is called Idaho FALLS - Jeff never knew there was accutal falls here untill we moved here- anyways - the first duck gets some "Grand Prize" )

So, we went to the River last night to partake in the "FREE FOOD" and fun!

Tietjen then had his face painted. He of course wanted a Train.. we had to instruct the girl how to draw one... she unlike me has had lots of practice drawing trains for this little train lover.



They also had a "train ride" Which Tietjen & I rode. Tietjen liked it at first, than it was going faster than he liked, plus it went from side to side. Like the engine couldn't go just strait, it had to go left than right than left again. So, Tietjen didnt really like that it all. He told me he wanted to go SLOW on the Train.

We have a NEW MEMBER of the Family!!

We have a new addition to our family. Last night we brought home "Jax" a 10 month old cocker spaniel and golden retever mix. He is a really sweet dog with lots of energy... PERFECT for Tietjen. Anna Belle loves to follow him around. Jeff loves to go running with him in the morning.

Anna Belle had her first taste of Smores.... okay there was no chocolate. We just had roasted marshmellows and graham crackers the other night!!

We had fun with my parents roasting smores and having our usual Sunday Dinner at our house this week!! Thanks Mom & Dad!!

ps .. if you look in the background of some of the pictures you can see we are starting to work on putting up the rest of the vinyl fence... I am so excited to have it up!!
