Happy 2nd Birthday - Anna Belle

Today my baby is TWO years old - wow!!

Of course, she was up the same time, she always is up - 6 am

We let her see her gifts - then Jeff & I went back to bed, while Tietjen & Annie played, watched TV and appartently ate all the cookies out of the pantry -

We gave her a doll bunkbed - for all her many dolls

a washer/dryer playset (given to me from my neighbor)

and some doll bottles - gotta keep them feed!!

Tietjen gave her a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse coloringbook


Annie's favorite were all the balloons !!

Just now, as I was working on this post - Tietjen & I couldn't find Annie - I opened up the back door to find Anna Belle had crawled through the two different doggie doors and was out inthe yard playing with Jazx -

When I asked her if she had shoes on.... she showed me she did -----

Anna Belle - what a whirl wind of a girl!!

She has always had the most beautiful BIG blue eyes (now a bit a grey in them)

Getting a good smile out of her is all on her MOOD!!

Annie is a MAMA's girl through and through - but she knows how to play the "daddy's girl" card very well. If mommy wont give in - maybe daddy will!!

HAIR HAIR HAIR - this girls hair grows very fast - just like her mommy's - for a year it was always in her face - and now I HAVE to do it up or food will be in it - I have fun doing different things (sometimes) - This past sunday I acctually did a small french braid with the top hair - there is so much of it!

There are so many more pictures, but I don't want to bore - plus all my 2007 pictures are on our broken harddrive - someday I will get them off - someday -

A week before Anna Belle was born, we had Chinese Food... my fortune cookie said...

"A short stranger will soon enter your life with blessings to share."

We kept that fortune, which is in a photo frame with the picture of Annie & Tietjen (further down)


She has been our blessings, endurance, and trial of faith.




Anna Belle was born April 29th - at 10:09 am - how much she weighted and how long she was I don't remember - I would have to look. All I know that is that it took only 3 pushes and out she came, unlike the FOUR hours of pushing to get my Tietjen boy out!!



Tietjen loved his little sis from the begining - I just wish he would stop teasing her -
I feel like she has been 2 years old for a couple of months, so this is not shocker to me right now - my little Drama Queen with MAJOR attitude! - Love ya banana belle~~

**Slipping through my fingers (Abba) - I just liked the movie "Mama Mia" another great Mother Daughter example - Annie is my bestest friend ever - I hope to keep that going!!

knock knock..... who's there???

Tietjen has learned knock knock jokes, we are not sure where he learned them from? It may be from a cartoon - Disney's Phenus & Ferb is Jeff & Tietjen's latest fav.

His jokes we never fully understand - they always start with a Mr..... something other....... at the door????

We need some new ones... Jeff & I have ran out. I found some on the line, but if anyone has a good one, let me know. Tietjen thinks they are HILARIOUS!!!! - okay he thinks he is hilarious!!

One of these days, we'll find someone with a good camera to record it - it is quite the laugh.

a visit to ISU campus

Tietjen has wanted to see where Jeff goes to school, so this morning we drove with Jeff down to Pocatello to the Idaho State University campus.

While Jeff was in class we wandered around campus, playing in the arcade, walking up stairs and having everyone ohh and ahh over how cute the kids were.

We got to ride a bus from the parking lot into the campus and back out again. The kids loved it.

Thanks Jeff for working so hard at school and studing so hard!! We love you!!

Cake....

Anna Belle has become very deffensive about her "birthday cake" ... mostly because when it was Tietjen's birthday, they would argue about whose birthday it was going to be... Annie doesn't understand, but doesn't want Tietjen to have anything that she can't have.

so I bought the stuff for her cake yesterday, which ended up to be 30 mins of her screaming in Walmart - screaming more at home (she was mad that the frosting was just frosting and not a cake already baked..) and then I ended up slamming my finger in her door on accident, which lead to me screaming and crying... which I had not yet done... I was very calm through the whole store....

So I made the stupid cake and let them eat it yesterday....

Tietjen has always been my weird sleeper - I always find him - asleep in strange places doing the funniest things... today he was on the couch reading - and I found him as such............

I took one picture than his head fell forward - and his hands kept twitching, it was so cute.

Spring has Sprung - Yardwork has Begun

Friday & Saturday were spent on YARD WORK -

Friday - Jeff's classes were cancled - they have extra days, so the teacher waited for a good day to cancel (he goes shooting) -

We spent Friday morning at the Temple, than the rest of the day was digging out some roots from our pine tree stump - (sorry no pictures)

Saturday - I, transplanted grass from the backyard to the front - covering up our stump. (Why, you may ask did I just not buy grass seed - because we are poor and why not put forth a little effort)

Than after Jeff was done with work - he cut down some of the Lilac Tree - which is half dead - and sending out shoots all over our lawn - it has taken us 4 years to figure out which tree has been doing this -

Down came some limbs

Than we shared rental of a rotatiller - we changed spots of our garden - the orginal one had to much shade from a neighbors tree - (Jeff already cut a bunch of limbs off their tree, last year)

All in all - we are tired, sore, and Jeff has two blisters, because the batteries on his "saw-zall" ran down so he used our hatched to get two of the three roots out .

work in progress........

I have been working on my kitchen since January.

I painted two coats of primer, to cover up the deep "paprika" red. Two coats of "bone white" and two coats of "Stewart House Brown"

I applied one coat of "bone white" with gloss to the window frames and I am starting to finish the rest of the trim work today.

I went with BLUE as my accent color, because I already had the curtins, they are from the front room.

The backslash area, I will not be painting, because it needs the drywall replaced, we have had some water damage.

In the end, I want a tile backsplash.

I am excited to get it all done and put up some decor.

Easter

Yesterday we gathered with two of my three sisters (one - Kimberly - lives in Gillette WY now) We had a Egg Hunt for the kids - well for my two and my sis Jillyn and her three boys. Baby Addison (my youngest sis Brookie) is only 6 months old and she just stayed with Uncle Jeff.

Anna Belle is very good at finding the eggs and is quite cute with her matching basket.

Tietjen was very speedy getting as many eggs as possible... we had over 100 eggs for them to find.

After finding all the eggs, Anna Belle sat in the toy car and began eating her candy... hiding the basket from Daddy who is about to take it away. (her mouth is full of candy)

We hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter and remembers that the TRUE reason of Easter is of the Savior's Resurrection. That our Savior suffered on the cross for our sins and on the 3rd day HE LIVED AGAIN!!

Easter duds and do's

Tietjen let me dress him for our Easter Egg hunt today at my parents...

he even let me do his hair (for the price of a piece of candy)

Tietjen never never never lets me do his hair... but for candy, he consented. Plus he gets more if he will not touch it and leave it alone. He also liked his new shorts, because it has pockets, that is why his hands are in them????
