kitchen updates

I am still working on painting my kitchen. I don't get much done with two kids and such!! We can hardly believe how BRIGHT it seems already with just the primer up! I am still working on patching up the many holes, so it takes me some time. Oh, and I only do it when Anna Belle is napping because - she wants to HELP! Big mess!!

I also changed the curtins - the blue ones from my front room are now in my kitchen for my accent color!!

A Pirates Life for ME!!

Saturday was my nephew Brian's birthday party. He turned 5 on February 17th! He loves pirates so it was of course "Pirate" themed!

It was a small tool box (no chest was to be found in stores) with pirate toys, coins, Hershey's Nugget candy (looks like gold nuggets) and pirate cups!! It looked like a real "treasure loot" !!!

The basket "doll bed" broke (since Annie would sit on it) So I found a small box that she could carry for her doll!!

We plan on getting some kind of doll bed for her birthday !!

my birthday present!!

With the money I received from my birthday, I bought paint to redue my kitchen!!! I am way excited!!! The lady that lived here before had painted in it "Paprika Red" (I know this because I found the paint can)

It was way way way to dark and I hated how it looked with the cabinets.

With the Christmas money from Jeff's Grandma Kidd, I bought primer and have been working on that every so often.

So with some advice from my wonderful mother-in-law Colleen, I am painting the bottom a dark brown and the top the same as the rest of the house "Bone White" with a high gloss bone white for the trim. I was so excited that the night after we bought the paint I started to see how it was going to look. The small and simple things, that is what life is really made of!!!

This is a picture of Tietjen.... he let me do his hair.... he never lets me do it. Once I did and he cried for an hour!! Doesn't he look so handsome with his hair done!

He told me that he looks like he has carrots on his head!????

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Today is my birthday and since I hardly show anything of me on here.... I wanted to brag about my self and give a little info about me also!! So here is my version of 25 things about ME!!

I was born in Albequerque, New Mexico. We lived about 60 miles from there in a place called "Bluewater Village" It was established by my ancestors the Tietjens. We lived in New Mexico, Rexburg, Idaho; Washington (state) and Idaho Falls.

This was our "mickey mouse club" for the town parade!!

I am the oldest of 4 daughters

my parents took us camping and on small vacations as much as possible!!

I was baptised by my father when I was 8 years old in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saits. ( I love the gospel, it is my life line of sanity and the peace I have, surviving this crappy world we live in)

I graduated from Ricks College with an Associates degree in 2000 (same year Jeff graduated High School) and I served a mission in Guatemala City South Mission.

I have been married for 5 1/2 years to my wonderful hubby Jeffrey Kidd.

I have 2 children: Tietjen & Anna Belle.

Whom my life would not be complete with out!!!

sun, snow, and water fun

The sun was shining so we took advantage of our boredom and went outside to play in the snow and get some needed exercise.

Tietjen brings all his snow stuff out on the porch, because he was not getting ready when Anna Belle & I were.

Anna Belle looks so cute .... such snow bunny... but wait she isn't all that cute when she disobeys mommy.

Mommy said " STAY OUT OF THE WATER" Anna Belle ended up falling down because of her fat suit and then she can't get up. I had to take this picture before I helped her out and into the house to strip down. She was soaked through her pants also!! Silly girl!!

And that ended our playing in the snow!!

more hurts for Annie

After a eventful day yesterday.... we continue to day with being check into the hosptial for Dental work done. Anna Belle had 4 cavities that was taken take of today. When she started comming out of her medicine that druged her up; first she cried and wanted me to hold her.... than she was MAD at me and tried to hit, scratch, & bite me. The nurse ended up having to close the door because of Annie screaming at us ( the nurse & I) !! Sorry my little baby. Her mouth will hurt for the next little bit today!! I love you!

Annna Belle got hurt

We have had a very tramatic morning today.... as I took Tietjen & two of our neighbors to Preschool, I had Anna Belle in my arms (because it was icy on the ground) I went to shut the van door and she reached her little hand in and I shut it on her fingers.

She was screaming bloody murder and I had to keep from crying, so that I could get the kids checked into school.

Nothing is broken, Thank Heavens. But she has a horrible little bruise on the inside and a small one on the back side of her fingers.

I did not put this picture in to make light of my daughter, I still am on the verge of tears every time I see this. But I wanted to show how she cradles her hurt hand with her other hand.

There was an extra pair of socks in the van and she wanted them on her hands. She still has them on. I guess she feels that it protects her hurt!

I am so so sorry my little darling baby!! I feel completely horrible. I love you my babby!!

Having Fun with Grandma & Grandpa Awsumb

We had the wonderfull pleasure of spending yesterday with Grandma & Grandpa Awsumb!!

Unfortunatly Dennis (Grandpa Awsumb) became very sick by the time they arrived here, so he slept the day in their hotel room. While we spent the day with Jeff's Mom Colleen!!
